How easy is TTS to use? I know two people who are pretty competent but they tried it and found it unfathomable, with bits disappearing and so forth. Any guides on getting started?
I kind of learned the ropes by playing with experienced users who were cool with me asking a ton of ‘How do I...’ questions.
Having a list of hotkeys is helpful.
It also might depend on how the specific game module is designed. I think the TI4 one has some wonky setup stuff that is pretty important to know about. I’m sure you can find documentation on Steam or BGG or maybe ask in the Steam comments.
I played a game of Root and Ganz Schon Clever on there tonight with two friends. Clunky enough that I don't know that I'd want to do this in normal circumstances, but user friendly enough that I'll gladly play again sometime soon. Our 3 player game of Root took nearly 2.5 hours, and that was the first time any of us had used TTS for anything really. We also used discord to have voice chat during the game.

Let's get a TWBG game of Root going sometime soon. I'm actually free tomorrow (Tuesday) night.
I hosted a five player Wiz-War game on TTS last night. It was my first time. My gaming group and I have played Wiz-War for years, so we felt the title would be a good test run for our digital present. With a Zoom voice channel, we worked ourselves through it. The learning curve is steep, no doubt - but it's manageable. Each of us have agreed to play again.
Hey all, Jexik and I have a game schedule 12:15pst of Root. If you want to join, friend him or me on discord and/or steam. My steam handle is garysax if you want to send a friend request. My discord name is Steve M#5806 to connect there.
